Cranberry + Ginger Shrubs were a regular this winter. I love a mocktail with a shot of shrubs, bubbly water and a generous dose of bitters. I bought two flats of strawberries for the after-prom fundraiser at school and I'm thinking about a strawberry shrubs next....

February brought us a proper snowy winter - and lots of ice - and Soph came to visit. Goodbyes are still no fun, but much easier when we have a future trip already booked (she'll be back for Luke's graduation in June). I don't know how long we'll stay one trip ahead, but I'll take it while we can! Also, it's sure fun spoiling big kids when they come home to visit. (silver linings friends, gotta find 'em somewhere)

Time to finish up garden planning and start some seeds and see how the dahlia tubers overwintered under the house. (eek!) Also, Look at hose happy little baby carrots in the last photo! Just like the books say, they take right off and start growing as soon as we hit 10+ hours of sunlight. They froze solid more than once down there, pretty incredible + hearty little plant.

I'm headed down to the balmy hoop house to tidy up + make room for the upcoming seedling shuffle. 2025 garden, here we go....
