rock beds update

More rock moving. The maple in front of the house got a new + bigger bed and some shade plants. I love buying bare root plants and potting them up, it's a cost effective way to grow your supply of perennials and I love having a dozen or so plants to choose from right here on the farm when I make a new bed.My old girl Maggie loves her yard sale dog bed which I move around the yard for her to change up her view. She's eleven this year and I'm mindful to snap a photo of her any time she's looking especially cute. These next few photos show some progress in the rock beds and how they are situated outside the garden. The spacing between the perennials feels like a lot the first two years and I plan to add some annuals I have in the greenhouse to fill things out a bit more. I should really mow the ferns at the bottom of the hill, but I just can't bring myself to do it right now....Looking at these photos I see lots of places to expand beds. Less grass = more plants and less mowing!xo,s
