donuts, finally....

I finally made a batch of sourdough donuts and they were even more delicious than I remembered.

These were rolled in a blend of 50/50 maple sugar and fine sugar and cardamom and cinnamon. Oh my. They smell and taste h-e-a-v-e-n-l-y! I'm looking forward to making more and trying out some filled varieties with Jessica's delicious Italian Creme recipe. Or maybe some jam filled ones as I put quite a few jars away last season.
