My 2024 vision board in the works in my new studio space.I spent the better part of a week moving my apothecary upstairs and my sewing supplies downstairs. It started with trying to figure out why I just didn't love my little sewing nook. After much thinking, I realized I really like to have a space with a door so I can leave a mess - I mean project - half done and walk away for a few days without cleaning it up and without looking at it and without it becoming a cat bed. Ahem. If you ask my youngest daughter, she will tell you the real reason is that I am the world's most introverted person, so I need quiet to be creative. She's probably right about that part too.....So now I have an apothecary nook and a sewing studio (once again). It's such a luxury to have this tiny spare room as my studio. I can't even tell you how lovely it's been to sit in here, music playing, getting reconnected with my sewing muse. Years ago, my first business was sewing kids clothing and baby quilts (Gypsy Forest Handmade). I have a love affair with fiber of all kinds, but most especially fabric. After visiting my Aunt last March, who is a master quilter, I was determined to get back in touch with this much loved hobby. Here's to seam ripping once again!xo,s
